From parenthood to doodlehood…

With two kids off to college, my husband and I are way past the days of 2 a.m. feedings, the padding of little feet on the wood floor in the middle of the night, and bleary-eyed mornings from sleeping on the far corners of the bed so that one of our little peanuts can snuggle with us after having a bad dream. Yes, we’ve turned the corner on parenthood and traded it in for doodlehood.

Two a.m. feedings have been replaced with the thud of 40 pounds of pure goldendoodle love clamoring up on our worn out box springs to snuggle in between us. The pitter patter of footsteps has been traded in for the clitter clatter of toenails on our wood floor. And we are (yes, really) sleeping on the edges of the bed again, so that our big kiddoodle can sprawl belly-side up (with no modesty whatsoever) between us.

We hope to share as much joy with others as Chloe shares with us…

So now that you know a little about us (mainly that we’re over the moon for four-legged friends, especially those with “oodle” in their name), we hope you’ll stop by and follow along on our happy journey from parenthood to doodlehood. We will share everyday life stories about dogs that are purposefully grounded in joy and optimism…because Goldendoodles (and all dogs) bring out the best in people.
